Instruments of Sephardic Music
The instruments used in Sephardic music differ depending on the context in which they are used. For example, female singers typically perform unaccompanied in domestic contexts, or occasionally at weddings accompanied by the tambourine and other percussion instruments. Male Sephardic performers perform with both melodic and percussive accompanying instruments. These instruments are almost exclusively adopted from other Moroccan musical genres.
