Developed as a fusion of Hispanic-Arab musical styles around the 9th century, Andalusian music spread across North Africa in the 1400s, following the expulsion of Muslims from Spain. Andalusian music is found today across North Africa, but most notably in Morocco and Algeria. The music is extremely structured and performed by Andalusian orchestras.
